You would have to do compound exercises with a principle of progressive over loading- weight gain for women can be achieved by practicing a few principles.

In addition for women to gain weight you would need to get to a point where you are pushing beyond comfortable reps. This basically means always do 2 reps more than your challenge level. This is a general recommendation but it works as your body needs a reason to adapt to the new stress. Makes sense?

Progressive Loading-

Another major key why women have a hard time gaining weight is due to the fact they don’t challenge them selves enough when they life weights, or do strength training. The key is to give your body a reason to adapt and that can only be done by progressive overloading- working harder and or lifting heavier

Nutrition-

If your burn rate/ number of calories you burn per day is for example- 1800- and your workout burns 300 you are in deficit. Its time now to increase the calories by an extra 500. Meaning you would have to replace the 300 burned and also on top of that et an extra 500/ day.
