My Background-

As a professional fitness coach for the past 15 years on Wall Street and in Tribeca, New York City this is single handedly the most often asked question by women. “What is the fastest way for weight gain for women workout and / burn fat”. While we live in 2019 in New York city which is considered the most advanced city when it comes to many industries including health and fitness there are still a lot of myths! This calls for a serious need to re-educate and clarify. So here it goes; resistance training is the most effective and one of the best if not the best way for weight gain for women. This is because muscle weighs more and strength training normalizes the body. Yes, women have muscle too. However much less than men.

Myths-

This is where it all gets complicated. ” but I don’t want to build muscle and look like a man” I enjoy looking like a woman but want to get “toned”. This will never happen as to get really bulky not just women but also men have a challenge. Don’t believe me look around the average gym do you really see huge men walking around. Women have less testosterone than men and therefore becoming bulky is out of the question for a normal professional female who whats to put on 5 to 10 lbs of lean curves. In addition muscle burns more fat and therefore a woman that is in the quest to gain weight via muscle building will always be burning fat all through out her day!
